Did these ads really appeal to people? As I was looking through them, I kind of didn't think they were that great... and none of them would make me want to buy their product. I know that times have changed since a lot of them came out and since things and people change maybe that's why they don't appeal to me, but they did appeal to people back then. I guess I'm curious if these ads were really effective or popular when they were made. Did they really appeal to the people of the time periods? It was a different time back then. Design in the commercial aspect are in the process of growing. Just remember that in this time period is when we starting to get more color print magazine. Before then, the only graphic design anything that any company my have was a decorative script on their company logo. If even that.
It certainly is hilarious how these ads feel so old nowadays. They all were super effective back then. It shows how complex our ads have to be in the modern time to actually be effective.
